DVLP was built around a simple belief: creative people grow faster when passion is paired with structure, accountability, professional standards, and the right environment.
Founder Drew Dugan experienced music education from nearly every angle. He began as a student, moved through internship and leadership roles, helped develop curriculum, and eventually led the education of thousands of students. That experience made one thing clear: information by itself is not enough.
To build something real in music, you need education to develop your craft, experience applying it in professional environments, and connections to people who challenge, support, and expand what is possible.
DVLP Academy was created to bring those pieces together. Students learn in a working creative environment, alongside instructors and peers who know their goals and expect them to keep progressing. Technical ability matters, but so do communication, consistency, problem-solving, professionalism, confidence, and the ability to finish what you start.
That is what we mean when we say: we don’t just teach music. We develop people through music.
